The Carpenter Hotel is an audacious hospitality project located in an area that the founders deemed the "true center of Austin, Texas". Expanding out of an classic mid-century Union building–Land helped transform the property into a multi-layered and inspired vision of quintessential Texacana. With homages to Lady Bird Johnson, universal human fraternities and early Texan/Mexican artistic vernaculars–this is a new Austin institution; and one that Land is honored to have played such a large part in.
